The Kids' Christmas Party took place on December 17, 2016. It started off with fun stations for the kids to visit where they had fun decorating sugar cookies and ornaments, among other activities. After the activities, a lunch of pizza was served. The highlight of the afternoon followed with Santa arriving, passing out gifts to each child. The children finished the afternoon playing with their new toys. A great time was had by all! Thank you to all who volunteered to make the party a big success.

The Adult Christmas Party was on Dec 10th and we had a full house. Everyone was in the holiday spirit, ready to enjoy the evening with friends. Brian Selke, formerly of Rocky Fortune, and two members formerly with Groovy, teamed up to create a new band - Old Skool Detroit, and they rocked the house with classic rock and roll. Everyone brought a dish to pass, there were yummy treats galore! One of the highlights of the evening was the white elephant gift exchange. A set of bowls with a yummy bag of M&M's and a crock-pot were a huge hit and were 'stolen' several times as names were drawn and gifts were chosen. It was a great evening, enjoyed by all. |
