Our Aerie held its first ever "All You Can Eat" soup bar on Friday, December 1, 2017, with all proceeds benefiting our building fund. Our furnace needed some very expensive repairs, and our members stepped up big time to help out. The repairs were made and our building is toasty warm now, just in the knick of time! The soup bar offered five delicious soups: Ultimate Ham and Bean, Sunshine Chicken, Loaded Baked Potato, Home Style Chicken Noodle and One Alarm Chili. In addition, we had an assortment of crackers, breads, muffins, and soup/chili toppings. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening a success. We appreciate you and your "People Helping People" attitude.

The Aerie held a special Building Fundraiser Dinner on Friday, November 17, 2017 to raise funds for major repairs our heating system suddenly required. ALL proceeds from this dinner will be used toward these costly repairs. The dinner was a Baked Potato Bar with yummy toppings including chicken in gravy, chili, green onions, broccoli, sour cream, bacon bits, shredded cheese and black beans. Brownies and cookies provided a sweet ending! The dinner was a hit with everyone and we thank all who attended to help support our cause. Special thanks to REAC for hosting the dinner and all who helped in any way planning, shopping, cooking, serving, and donating for this event. After dinner, everyone enjoyed karaoke with Whitey, especially many of the children who had come for the dinner! Enjoy the photo slideshow! The pork chop dinner was a big success and we completely sold out. Worthy President Gary Smith wants to thank everyone who came out to support us and buy a dinner. He also thanks his members and officers who volunteered to help with dinner: Bruce & Bobbie Saffron, Ryan Wojtyna, Nancy Fruit, Secretary Jeff Gueli, Treasurer Tela Fountain, and Outside Guard John Watkins. He also thanks Carol Zywicki for donating the homemade cheesecake and apple cake we sold for dessert. They were delicious!! Finally, Gary also wants to thank Chuck Cline for getting us the pork chops. They were a big hit with everyone! Yum. Whitey rounded out the evening with karaoke while we celebrated Brandy's birthday and Keith and Ginger's wedding anniversary. It was another fab night at the Aerie! Enjoy the photo slideshow from the evening. It was another fun night at the Aerie on Friday, July 8. The evening kicked off with a jumbo loaded baked potato bar for dinner. It was a new idea and proved itself a big hit. At a cost of only $5.00, members were served a jumbo baked potato and then proceeded to the 'fixings' bar where they chose their own toppings from an assortment that included chili, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits, broccoli, black beans, green onions, sour cream and butter. After dinner, many members stayed to have a fun time singing their favorite songs with our karaoke host for the evening, DJ Tom. It was a fun finish to the dinner and another great night at the Aerie for all. The proceeds from the dinner will be used to pay for the building improvements and redecorating we've been doing. Thank you to all who helped with the dinner and also to all who came to support us by joining us for dinner. Enjoy the photos below from the evening! Wow! The social hall looks great with the fifty new chairs that were assembled on Wednesday, July 6th. The chairs were delivered on Tuesday and a call for help in assembling them was put out on Facebook that afternoon. Many hands stepped up to the plate and volunteered their help and the task was quickly completed by early afternoon on Wednesday. Big thanks go out to Bruce Saffron, Lenny Wojtyna, Steve Jones, Tom Fountain, Jim Fruit, and Gary Smith for all your help. As the expression says, many hands make light work and all of you sure proved that true! What a great night at the Aerie! On Friday, June 3, 2016, the Aerie held a Building Improvements Fundraiser Dinner and what a yummy dinner it was! Dinner was only $10 and included an absolutely HUGE center-cut, charcoal grilled pork chop, a humongous baked potato, stuffing, corn, coleslaw, and bread and butter. Everyone was stuffed by the time they finished, that is, if they were able to! Dinner was followed up by an evening of fun karaoke hosted by Whitey. The club was packed and the singing was great! A total of $392 profit was made and will be used to help pay for building improvements. Thank you to all who came out and supported this great event including all of the volunteers who helped put it on and those who came to enjoy a great dinner out. We are planning to have more dinners to raise building improvement funds during the summer so keep an eye on our Facebook page and check the Events page on our website for details and dates!
